Improvising with Miles Faber
“Though Season 1’s Top 3 dancer Miles Faber improvised his audition solo, he notes he still did a lot of prep work in advance. “Improvisation isn’t something that just happens. You need to practice improvising, whether it be in your basement, at the clubs or in front of a mirror….”
Miles makes sure he has a choreographic framework before performing his popping solos.
Produced by Protocol Entertainment for MTV in association with CTV, the two-hour telefilm focuses on one girl’s struggle to realize her dreams – no matter how out of reach they may be. “TURN THE BEAT AROUND” was filmed in Toronto and Hamilton. Choreographed by SYTYCDC judge Tré Armstrong, the cast also features Season 1 Top 4 finalists Miles Faber and Natalli Reznik, alongside Top 20 competitors Caroline Torti, Bre Wong and Tamina Pollack-Paris.
